The U.S. News & World Report released its annual best hospitals rankings. Mass General ranked #1 in the nation for psychiatric care. In addition, two other Mass General Brigham hospitals have been named as leading providers of psychiatric care: McLean Hospital (at #2) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. According to US News, the psychiatry rankings are based on the expert opinion of surveyed psychiatrists. Results from the three most recent years of an annual expert-opinion survey of specialized physicians are factored in. Surveyed physicians are asked to name up to five hospitals they consider the best for complex cases in their specialty.
